SMA 16 JENA is an innovative solution that successfully replaces traditional methods of asphalt pavement construction. High load resistance for each category of movement (KR1–6) and the ability to lay stone mastic asphalt (SMA) with up to 16 mm aggregate in lower temperature conditions guarantees long-term operation and shorter work execution time. The single-layer surface improves road safety through enhanced fatigue resistance and anti-slip properties, while characterized by high homogeneity and an aesthetically pleasing finish. The SMA 16 JENA technology reduces the amount of material required and eliminates the need for layer bonding, which significantly reduces not only investment costs, but also reduces CO₂ emissions in the process of both the production of the mixture and the paving process.
