Aggregate extraction
COLAS Kruszywa conducts its aggregates extraction and aggregate processing activities based on two quarries based on the best quality granite and basalt deposits:
Granite quarry „Rogoźnica II”
located in Rogoźnica, the commune of Strzegom in the Lower Silesian voivodeship.
One of the largest quarry plants in Poland, extracting and mechanically processing granite.
Granite from the Rogoźnica II deposit is characterized by:
- high compressive strength,
- high frost resistance,
- low abrasion.
Basalt Quarry „Winna Góra”
located next to the town of Piotrowice, in the commune of Męcinka in the Lower Silesian voivodeship.
„Winna Góra” quarry activites are extraction and mechanical processing of excellent quality basalt.
Guaranteeing high quality and timely order fulfillment is our priority. High standards of operation of the Winna Góra quarry are ensured by constantly improved technology of extraction and mechanical processing of basalt and a well-trained crew, prepared to meet market processes and customer needs.
Basalt from „Winna Góra” is an igneous rock, dark in color, with a compact texture, characterized by:
- high compressive strength,
- high frost resistance,
- low abrasion,
- good affinity with asphalt, which qualifies them for use in road construction and the production of surface mixes, bituminous as well as special concretes.
